National Problem Gambling Awareness Week
The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) is pleased to present the 8th Annual Problem Gambling Awareness Week campaign, a grassroots public awareness and outreach campaign. It will be held March 7-13, 2010. The goal of this campaign is to educate the general public and health care professionals about the warning signs of problem gambling and raise awareness about the help that is available both locally and nationally.

Klip It For Kidz by the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation
Sponsored by: Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Local business leaders, physicians, executives and METRO officers will set individual fund raising goals and when these goals are met, they will shave their heads or donate at least 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love. The event is free to the public and will include food, games, entertainment, celebrities and demonstrations by METRO’s K-9 unit, S.W.A.T. Team and bomb squad. A special appearance by the Clark County Fire Department is also on tap. The official pledge form is available at
