On Saturday, September 15, 2012, join the Foundation for Recovery and Southern Nevada's recovery community for the 3rd annual Rally for Recovery. This year's rally will be held at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater from 11am - 4pm. We are pleased to announce that this year we will be partnering with NV AADAPTS annual Recovery Month picnic!
The event will feature free food and drinks, games, face painting, bounce house, free raffles and prizes, and live entertainment. We are also excited about 2 new additions to this year's rally: A recovery advocacy walk and a recovery community award ceremony. We are currently accepting nominations for the recovery community awards; simply fill out the nomination form on this page.
The Foundation for Recovery hosts the rally to celebrate National Recovery Month. Recovery Month promotes the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance use disorders, celebrates people in recovery, lauds the contributions of treatment and service providers, and promotes the message that recovery in all its forms is possible. Recovery Month spreads the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover.
