Study Center & Archival Library

The Foundation maintains a large library and archive of both historical and modern material related to addiction and recovery movements and methodologies. The archival library contains many original historical documents not available anywhere else.

The Study Center and Archival Library are open to students, academics, and professionals, as well as to the public.



Foundation for Recovery Museum

museum The Foundation for Recovery is happy to exhibit a large and diverse collection of historical materials and memorabilia related to addiction and recovery. At the Foundation museum, you can view unique displays ranging from early "cure-all" medicinal bottles and advertisements, to portable electroshock therapy devices once used to "cure" addiction to historical twelve-step materials and drafts. The Foundation for Recovery maintains one of the largest displays of original materials from various recovery movements with a particularly large collection from Narcotics Anonymous.

Book Store and Gift Shop

The Foundation for Recovery’s Book Store and Gift Shop, located in the same space as our museum and archives, sells a large assortment of recovery-oriented books, gifts, greeting cards, posters, jewelry, t-shirts, and other items. All proceeds from the Book Store and Gift Shop go directly to the Foundation for Recovery.



The Rooms

The Rooms, an initiative of the Foundation for Recovery to provide comfortable meeting space to the local recovering community, offers three (3) separate rooms: two (2) 49-person rooms and one (1) 165-person room. All rooms are professionally cleaned daily and the smoking room has an oversized filtration system. Coffee, espresso, snacks, and refreshments are available twenty-four hours a day through vending machines in the common area, and seating, podiums, and individual lockers are available for all groups.
